Julie R. Bailey was an admired and respected journalist who co-founded the Columbus Association of Black Journalists. Tragically, her life and career ended unexpectedly on May 15, 2006. To honor her memory, friends, neighbors and colleagues generously donated to a scholarship fund in her name.

The Julie R. Bailey Memorial Scholarship Fund will be used to assist journalism students with the expenses associated with pursuing their education. Members of the Columbus Association of Black Journalists will make the first awards from the fund on Saturday, October 28, 2006 at St. Stephens Community House.

You are cordially invited to attend.

RSVP  Please let us know if you’re planning to attend so we can prepare accordingly.
